On Tuesday, August 2, 2011, the Harlem Community Justice joined the 25th Precinct and Police Service Area 6 (PSA 6) and many other community organizations for the "28th Annual National Night Out 2011." The events were held at Moore Playgound located on Madison Aveue between E. 130th and 131st streets and in St. Nicholas Houses Plaza, located between 127th Street & 129th Street between Adam Clayton Powell Blvd. & Frederick Douglass Blvd.
Justice Center staff members Cramon Milline, from Parole Re-entry, and Damon Brown-Dobbs, Youth Development Coordinator for the Harlem Hard H.A.T.S., stationed an information table at the (PSA 6) event and Susanna Osorno-Crandall, stationed an information table at the 25th Precinct event. Both events were filled with entertainment, food, and VIP's. Community members enjoyed the BBQ grills, inflated fun houses, fire trucks, police cars and motorcycles, pizza, cotton candy, and free entertainment. Iesha Sekou for Street Corner Resources attended the 25th Precinct event along with a group of teens who danced and sang like professional entertainers.
VIP's in attendance at the PSA6 event were City Council Woman Inez Dickens and Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance. The 25th Precinct event was also attended by Council Woman Inez Dickens, other attendees were Assembly Member Robert Rodriguez and Commissioner Caswell Holloway from the Department of Enviromental Protection.
